    Andy, I'm sorry, I just noticed this message. Please contact me using my email address kurtloup@cox.net. I can give you some approximate dimensions, but it will fluctuate with the size and number of sections of the rod. I use 1/4" thick by about 7/8" strips and have been using a Lee Valley tool birdsmouth router bit. Using this bit only requires milling one edge. I found that the birdsmouth works great to align the strips. I wrapped string around the tube just like I am binding strips in a fly rod. Let me know what specific info you need. Kurt
